Process & What to Expect
Working Seamlessly With Builders
We follow a clear, structured process designed to fit smoothly into your build schedule. From early planning through to installation and final certification, our team ensures every stage is completed efficiently, safely, and to specification.
1. Initial Assessment & Planning
We start with a site visit and consultation to understand your renovation needs: what works already exist, what changes you want, what safety or capacity upgrades are needed.
2. Detailed Quotation & Scope Definition
We prepare a clear quote outlining what electrical upgrades are needed, options for fixtures/tech, estimated time, and cost. We’ll also flag any structural or safety issues early.
3. Coordination with Other Trades
Renovations often overlap with plumbing, cabinetry, tiling etc. Tasman Sparkies coordinates with your builder or project manager to avoid conflicts (e.g. avoiding wall finishes before wiring is placed).
4. Installation Work
Running or replacing cables, fitting fixtures, moving or adding power outlets, upgrading switchboards. All work is done cleanly, protecting existing finishes as much as possible.
5. Safety Checks, Testing & Certification
Once installation is complete, we perform rigorous safety checks, load testing, ensure proper earthing, inspect fit and finish, and provide required documentation (CoC, certificates).
